I thought merkur 25C razor would cut my face off but it shaved close and safely like a safety razor should. I practiced with a safer Merkur for 8 months, so if you start with the “Open Tooth” razor make a styptic meringue pie, and if you cut your face hit yourself in the face with the pie, Great razor and inexpensive.

This DE razor is great. It gives a very close shave. On the first pass pretty much all of the facial hair was gone, a lot better than those 4 bladed razors out there. Use caution if you’re a first time user, this razor is pretty aggressive, and so use the lowest setting first until you become confident in your skills. This razor will cut you pretty easily.
